Assignment 3: Part 1 & 2

PART 1

Picture
I believe that this is my most successful photo because it represents my image of what interpretive photo looks like. For me, this represents the struggles and current issues that people are facing every day. It makes the viewer look at this photo and wonder why.

I think the most challenging aspect for this challenge was finding images that represent each category because a lot of the photographic categories overlap each other. Some of the categories were easier to depict than others. For my page, for this challenge, I wanted to make a clear description of why I put each photo for that category because some of the images I posted can fall into other categories.

In the future this will make me understand the different types of photography and what message I want to portray with each photo. It will help me analyze photos and understand messages that I want to portray to other. It will help me create a reason for taking  photographs than just taking a photo.

PART 2

Hi Rachel. Very creative photo. I love that you have contrasting colors and back lighting in your photo. You can see the landscape making it fit under the aesthetically evaluative category. This is an amazing photo!

Hi Ashley, very nice photo. I really appreciated how you approached this theoretical image in such a modern context. It is clear that you were addressing the daily struggles of wearing a mask while grocery shopping during COVID. I think that your use of black and white as well as your use of bull's eye really helps to highlight the intensity of the image.

Hi Ashley! I really enjoy the use of black and white here. The idea to use this image for interpretive was a great idea, it not only addresses the struggle of modern times but you also don't really know what the girl is thinking. There is a lot of depth in this picture. Great job!
