Assignment 5: Part 1 &2

PART 1

I believe that this is my most successful photo because even though they are the same, but they are different. Steve's photo is taken in the Arctic with people kayaking in the water. My photo is taken in Pennsylvania with people sledding. Both of these photos are taken in cold climates and both show something that people enjoy doing in cold weather. Even though they are done in different lightings and different scenic backgrounds, they both embody the message.The most challenging aspect was finding my own voice without replicating the photo. It is so easy to copy a photo that you like but finding a way to make it you own, to me, is complicated.  In the future with my photographic journey is that I want to take photos that will create an emotion when people look at them. The mean behind the photo is the same or more powerful. I want my pictures to tell a story and hope that it will make people think.

Hi Rachel! I really love this photograph.  I'm drawn to your photo because it reminds me of Florida and I love traveling there. I love that you incorporated low perspective in your photo. You have a great composition of color and you can tell the depth because of the clouds in the background. Also your photo looks like it has movement because of the palm trees blowing in the wind. I definitely think you emulated your photographer. Great Job!
